Gold class exploration opportunity in Victoria, Australia

  • By AusIMM

Minerals exploration rights are on offer over large parcels of prospective ground in the highly productive area of North Central Victoria, Australia.

This is an international, competitive, merit-based tender (subject to licencing). Geological Survey of Victoria estimates there may be up to 75 million ounces of undiscovered gold under cover in northern Victoria, including 32 million ounces of gold yet to be found in the northern Bendigo Zone.

Although the tender’s priority is on gold exploration, proposals for other minerals will be accepted, other than for coal and gas, which are excluded from this tender.

Victoria has a highly skilled local workforce. Melbourne is a global mining hub and features access to high quality transport and infrastructure, established global markets and export pathways.

The Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions is committed to identifying experienced, progressive and responsible minerals explorers, with outstanding work programs, demonstrating corporate social responsibility and a solid commitment to working with Traditional Owners, local communities and landholders.

The tender is open until 6 pm (AEST) on Friday 31 January 2020.
