In my recent travels, it has been pleasing to hear the positive feedback from members and key stakeholders who are seeing AusIMM become a more relevant and influential organisation.
Modernising the way we deliver our services is critical to our strategy. For example, our new streamlined membership application process makes AusIMM a more inclusive and welcoming association for all resources professionals.
We are also delivering a more contemporary program of conferences and events to build our reputation and ensure our members remain up to date with the latest industry trends.
Strong membership growth and record conference delegate numbers are both positive signs that our strategy is working. Our new approach will be on show at IMARC in October, where AusIMM, as a founding partner, will welcome 6000 delegates from around the globe – including CEOs of 25 of the world’s largest mining companies.
On top of our modernisation program, we are introducing four major initiatives, including our JORC e-training and our digital transformation.
Our digital transformation is one of the most significant financial investments in AusIMM’s history. Launching in November, our new website and branding will provide a fresh, user-friendly and highly personalised online experience. This will allow the AusIMM to provide even higher levels of service to everyone looking to engage with us, and create new ways of connecting and learning for our members.
There are many exciting initiatives underway. We are committed to delivering more value to members through our Future Directions strategy as we transition AusIMM to be a world-class association that all our members are proud of.
