The Consultants Society committee was pleased to see 11 strong nominees for the five committee vacancies for the 2017 to 2018 period. The results will soon be available for the new committee to take on its role from January 2017 with the new incoming chair, Trivindren Naidoo.
I would like to thank all on the committee for their efforts over the past term, and in particular I would like to thank Peter McCarthy. Peter was the inaugural chair of the Society upon its formation four years ago, and I thank him on behalf of our committee and Consultants Society members for his contribution.
With the industry remaining challenging for many in the consulting professions, the Consultants Society ran a one day seminar on ‘Getting value from your professional advisors’ in August this year. The seminar followed on from the International Mine Management Conference. The presentations and panel discussions were of such interest we have captured the themes and content in the accompanying newsletter article. For those who could not make it, and even those who could, I hope you find the article a useful summary of what industry and consultants expect from their working relationships.
I wish you all the best for the season, and success for 2017.
