Exciting scholarship opportunity for female members in WA

  • By AusIMM

In a joint partnership with the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), AusIMM is thrilled to announce we are offering three places for senior executive women from Western Australia who are AusIMM members to take part in the Director Pipeline Program (DPP) in 2018.

The DPP is an initiative of the AICD and is designed to create a cohort of highly networked ‘board-ready’ executive women who are suitable candidates for board roles. AusIMM is committed to building diversity and inclusion in the resources sector and this initiative specifically supports women in leadership roles who want to pursue non-executive director positions.

To participate in the program, individuals must be a member of the AICD and have either completed the Company Directors Course or plan to complete it within a year. In light of this, AusIMM is pleased to advise we will also cover 50 per cent of the Company Directors Course and AICD membership for the successful three AusIMM candidates. Please click here for further info about the Company Directors Course and here for a membership application to AICD.

Nominees must submit their CV and cover letter outlining board aspirations and how the program can assist on their journey to Orla Fitzgerald at ofitzgerald@aicd.com.au.

Please send in your application by close of business Friday 1st December 2017. Please also clearly state you are applying under the AusIMM program and state your membership number.
We will notify those who are successful mid-January 2018 and the program launches at the end of February 2018, running until November.
